Vanessa, of Green as a Thistle, is making a change a day for 1 year, in order to live a greener life. Some of the changes she plans to continue after 365 days, others she may give up on. She has done wonderfully so far (day 220), and has some great ideas. Check it out…make just one of her changes and I will be super proud of you!!
As for me, some changes I am working on/considering are:
1) cutting up an old T-shirt to create some reusable handkerchiefs to carry in my handbag. (haven’t done this yet, but plan to).
2) Remembering to carry my re-usable water bottle and coffee mug with me. I use both when I am taking water/a hot drink from home, but far too often forget to have them with me for when I want to buy a coffee or drink some water on the road.
3) I would like to try doing something about toilet paper, but I am not sure what. I have tried recycled, and find it rough and just don’t like it. Vanessa is going TP Free for #1, just washing herself off with water and then shaking dry. I guess I could try that. I like the idea of cloth toilet paper (for #1 only) but it requires having a basket of cloths in the bathroom, as well as a bucket to put the used ones in until you do laundry. Our tiny bathroom is full enough with two waste bins (one for green bin stuff), a stool, a toilet seat and a scale on the floor. Hmmm…not sure about this one yet.
P.S. yes, I am posting in all pink this month, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Is it hard to read? Suck it up!

Use your Peri bottle!
The pink isn’t too difficult to read because it is darker.
