SATC update

I actually really enjoyed it. It was not hard to follow at all even without having watched the series…and I was able to enjoy the movie just for the movie, without comparing it to the series. It was a fun chick flick. Not going to win an Oscars but…it made me laugh it made me cry!

As for the characters, I always hear SATC lovers discussing who they are. Well, I don’t know who I am…but I liked Miranda’s style best and wish I could get my hair to look like hers. I also loved Samantha’s flower ring, though I’d like it a bit smaller (but the same shape). I was not so into Carrie’s mis-matching outfits…but her handbags and shoes were (mostly) fabulous! The dress was…perfect.

I think the people that didn’t see the show like it better, but I could be wrong. I saw it with 4 other women, whom I didn’t know very well, and the one that cried was one that didn’t see the series. The others liked, though, I thought it was too long and my ass was numb.

IMO, I think it should have been the series finale on HBO and if they do this to the Sopranos I am going to be so pissed I may cancel my HBO. Wait, there is still Big Love. Maybe when that one is over. I have recently gotten hooked on the Showtime series (Weeds, Dexter and the Tudors).

If you have NetFlix or even at the regular video store you can found most of these series, even while they are still in showings.

The movie was really about love and our desire to possess it in our lives. This was a fun movie to savor with friends. A guilty pleasure.
