Yup! Only for a night though. My next-door neighbour asked me to help her find an artist for her wedding in early July , and after giving her some suggestions I also mentioned that I love doing my own formal make-up and have been working on my skills and have done some prom make-up, but am yet to do a bride. She asked me to do her make-up before her stagette tonight, and was happy enough with the results that she wants me to do her wedding make-up.
I had less than 30 minutes to do this today, and it was challenging as I am unaccustomed to her olive skin tone (she is from Peru). We started with peach eye-shadow which did not work, and so I had to cover it up with light-beige since there was no time to remove it, and switch to dusky taupes. Also, I did not have the right colour concealer for her under eye-area, or a blush or lip-gloss that worked well on her, or make-up remover to better fix up smudges. She also would not let me curl her eye-lashes and scremed ouch every time I can near her with eye-liner, even when I was not actually touching her yet…I’ll have to work on that. As you can guess, she does not usually wear cosmetics. She is beautiful and does not need to though!
P.S. I was invited to the stagette, but would rather stick burning matches in my eyes than spend a night out dancing and (not) drinking with a group of women I do not know! Also, my current 9pm bed-time would be interrupted.

That is really cool! I know if I still lived in your neck of the woods, I’d be asking you for tips and help with make-up application! I love how you do your eye make-up!
Ohhh…One of my biggest splurges has got to be on cosmetics. I try to be a responsible consumer and only buy things when absolutely necessary, but make-up is one of my vices. I LOVE lip glosses, eye make-up, etc. Unfortunately, it’s so easy to just drop $80-$100 on make-up!!
