I am sure no one will be surprised to discover I simply could not settle for one of the okay but not perfect dresses I was considering (too clingy in all the wrong places, too sparkly, too not dressy..and one I borrowed since that post and was perfect except it was a mid calf length I did not love) and got something new. I found it at Le Chateau of all places, which is prefect as it is a black dress that will work now and always:
It is kinda hard to tell, but there is a extra layer of fabric from between the decolette down which adds some drama to the dress.
