Not a feather
Recently I ordered some synthetic hair feathers for Zoë via Feather Fashionista. Never on e to shy away from a too-young-for-me trend (and since I’d already tried the real feathers) I gave one a go. Cute, eh?

Because people keep asking, here is a picture of the root. A microbe ad is thread onto my hair, the tip of the extension is popped in, and I use needle nosed pliers to clamp.
Hallowe’en-ish tips and toes
I have been seeings ads and displays for Crackle Nail Polish for a while, and ignoring them since I think it looks stupid. However, Zoë and I were browsing today and she made the request, so I bought some Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Fractured Foil. Never one to miss an opportunity to try something new, I gave it a spin over the China Glaze Haunting polish I got recently, I love dark polish in the winter.

Th Crackle was easy to apply…the trick is to apply a thin coat. A thicker coat will not crackle as well. I am not sure the look is really for me, but I suspect the sparkly polish will be a pain to get off, so I’m planning to leave it for a while, at least until Hallowe’en since it does seem to have a bit of a dark spooky look
I painted my ties with the Haunting on its own. Since half my toenails are already black, it just made sense! A nice Hallowe’en touch for yoga in the morning!

Bad hair, good jacket
I’m waiting for a meeting in Hell Hamilton, and decided to tell about my lovely new jacket.
I saw this jacket at Marshall’s a few weeks ago, and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, they only had it in a size XL. I loved it so much I almost bought it anyway, but knew that I would always think it looks bad and left it. Since then, I have dutifully stopped at every Winners and Marahall’s I have had any possible reason to pass by. I did not find the jacket and almost gave up. Imagine my joy yesterday when I stopped at Winners, planning to look for booties, and saw the jacket just hanging there at the outer edge of a rack I might have otherwise ignored. It was a Winners I had already gone to, so I suspect it was a return. I don’t care. It was also missing the belt, which I don’t care about because I don’t like belts on jackets anyways! I’m so happy! It is so cute! Only $40.

Something for my feet??
I have never been a bootie person before…but I think I may need to become one!
See the problem? Skinny pants. They are dressier than jeans, and I don’t want to wear boots over them. High boots under don’t work, they show through. The kinds of wedge loafers I’d possibly wear with wider leg trousers are too big and clunky looking. Pumps like I am wearing today are fine…but the naked foot won’t be weather appropriate for long.
I need booties. Short tight boots that will cover my entire foot, not look clunky, and not show under my pants. (high tight boots would work too…but they’ed be so hot!).
Something like these?
