Eta: In fairness to me and defense of my questionable and dishonest tactics to avoid parenting, I feel like crap today. Achy all over, stuffy, and deciding if I should believe science or my own (positive) anecdotal evidence and buy some Cold FX.

Black out…winter white

I probably should black out today, in support of anti SOPA. I don’t know how though. So I will link to the information…and move along.

I very rarely wear white or cream. Because I always get it dirty, and because I always assume that it will look bad in me since I am so ~~pale~~ milky, and not thin.

Every once in a while, I try it on, and am surprised that it actually looks nice on me, especially when my hair is dark.

A few months ago I tried on a cream sweater at The Gap that I loved…but it was an XS (why I even tried was beyond me) and a tad tight. This began a mission. The mission of finding a cream sweater. Eventually I ordered one off the Old Navy site. I don’t love it. The weave is a bit large in spots and looks ripped (it’s not) and the neck is a bit higher than I’d like. But, a white tank underneath helps with the large weave, and the neckline is warm. So.

In other news, I’m working on firefly pose. Not there yet, but close. Everything is off the ground. Next I gotta work on looking up, and making everything straight and pretty!

For the love of soup

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with making, and eating, soup lately. Healthy and filling! I’ve been alternating been pots of lentil and butternut squash, with an occasional pot of chicken thrown in.

Today I tried something new. I dumped half a jar of veggie and tomato sauce in the pot, boiled and added water until it was smooth. Then brought it back down to a simmer and threw in a teaspoon of soup powder and a can of mixed beans (rinsed). I let it simmer a few minutes, then blended (I prefer smooth to chunky soups, but blending was not necessary).

Yummy tomato bean soup…with a little part skim shredded cheese on top! Perfect.

Because I was googling it a lot when it happened to me…trying to see if it was indeed rejecting. Hope to help future “rook piercing rejection” googlers!

The fresh piercing, see the thick layer of skin over the bar, and how the bar comes from the bottom of the ridge of skin?:

Piercing as it is being rejected. It has migrated close to the surface (the weight of changing from the bar to a ring started this process) and the bar now goes just under the surface of the skin…you can actually see the metal under the skin it has gotten so thin. A little longer…and it could have popped right through, which would likely leave a not so pretty scar…or at least looked ugly while it healed. It also seems like it would be painful…but I didn’t feel the migration, so maybe not:

P.S. that is not gross yellow gooo coming out of my ear, just a trick of the camera! I swear! I am very picky about visible ear-wax, it is never tolerated.
